Sketchbook 2014

In 2014 I started painting less and spent days drawing.  I'd get the studio warmed up and arrive without much in the way of a plans, open to whatever.  If the weather was nice enough, I'd go somewhere and sit in the car with my drawing kit.  It was a nice freedom to poke around and explore what things looked like and it was very absorbing.  Drawing, like fishing, engages me without a lot of noise from my brain.  I draw with pencils, pen & ink, and occasionally with watercolor or ink washes.  I draw from life, photos, & computer images.
